Customer service is everything, no matter how abhorrent the customer.

The most important thing these days is customer service. The best ways to deliver great customer service is to know your product, maintain a positive attitude, respond quickly, and focus support on the customer.

This is especially important when you're in the business of contributing to other people's families and unfortunately, and is regardless of whether or not you think the customer is worthy of your product..

Luckily, since most of the robots we sell go to wonderful customers like Mrs. Borel, it means the days I have to deal with the Mrs. Vickers of the world are rare...

In this scene from Human Perfect, the heroine is dining with Tom, who works for an android company. She's beginning to suspect he is an android...

He picked up a bottle of red sauce, squinted at the label, and put it down, then picked up a green bottle. Tom set that down, slid the red bottle into the green bottle's place--and then switched them back. After a moment, he lined up all the condiment bottles, peered at them, and then began reordering them.

"Tom, what are you doing?"

"Sorry." He yanked his hands back and put them on his lap. "Bad habit. I was trying to decide it I should line them up by color or size, or if the name of the product should be--" He shook his head. "Never mind. Order is a flaw, but I will overcome it."

Raising one eyebrow, Christa took in the neat row of bottles. "Order is a flaw?"

"Perfection is godlike. No real person is perfect. No real person is a slave to order. I embrace chaos."

The Chronos Enigma

Alone in space with a snarky AI starship...what could go wrong?

Noe has been kidnapped by her own starship and taken across the universes for a reason it won't divulge. Given only vague answers, she can only go along with the Chronos until it reveals the truth when they collide...literally...with a spacecop hellbent on handing them over to his superiors.

Jed hates his job but when his tiny jumpship is saved, somewhat dubiously, during a collision with a large, mysterious, alien ship, he knows he must do it. Instead of taking in a prisoner, he's captivated by the unusual alien woman and her enigmatic ship.

When the Chronos reveals that Noe had been destined to run into him in order to save what was left of a decimated planet Earth, he realizes that he must be all in and at her side even if everything he's ever known has been tossed out the window.

A cyberpunk detective story in space

Life in the asteroid belt is dominated by OnBoard- a neuroimplant that streams everything in real time to a universal social media network. OnBoard algorithms dictate what is seen and what is deemed "sensitive." The algorithm fails, however, when three young people activate asteroid crushers and walk into the machines while streaming. It looks like a suicide pact except for a strange data upload moments before each victim "logs off." Detective Victor Yasserian is the only person in the asteroid belt with no OnBoard neuroimplant to filter his perception. He's the only one who can enter the final victim's terminal feed and find out what really happened. But anything can happen in a corrupted feed, and Victor might just become the next victim.
