Rheyn Destoiya Rules Through Pressure.
Not Fear. Rarely Mercy.
Her Majesty Empress Rheyn Destoiya does not ask for loyalty. She engineers inevitability.
Where some accept censor, the Empress redirects it. She believes suffering is usefulΒ only if it produces change, and guilt is merely another lever. She does not carry the weight of the pastβshe weaponizes it, pressing fractures until something breaks.
Mercy, in the hands of the Empress, is a strategic pause. Cruelty is not indulgence but calibration. If an empire must fall for something better to rise, she will make certain the collapse is thorough.
The Empress does not fear becoming the villain of history.Β She intends to be its turning point.

Behind the Legend
The Empire knows Rheyn Destoiya as an Empress. History knows her as a warrior. Few realize she helped shape many of the institutions that hold the Empire together. Her influence reaches from government and military operations to trade agreements, diplomacy, and planetary cooperation.
What most people never see is the burden of immortality. Every decision carries centuries of consequences. Every victory comes with a memory of what it cost. And despite all her accomplishments, Dessy still keeps secrets.
Some of them even Pietas doesn't know.
Rheyn Destoiya
"An empire survives because someone is willing to make the impossible choice."
Rheyn Destoiya rules the Tarthian Empire, a twenty-four planet alliance on the far edge of the galaxy. To her citizens, she is Empressβa strategist, stateswoman, and guardian of Imperial stability. Few know the truth.
Rheyn Destoiya is a Sempervian, an ancient immortal race whose history stretches back millennia. While others see a brilliant leader, Dessy carries the weight of centuries of victories, failures, betrayals, and hard-won lessons.
Her reign endures because she understands something many rulers never learn. Power is not about commanding others. It is about creating systems strong enough to survive without you.
Ruthless when necessary and fair whenever possible, she pursues her goals with relentless determination. Once she commits to a course of action, very little can divert her from it.
Those who mistake her calm demeanor for softness rarely make the mistake twice.
The Woman Behind the Empire
Her greatest strength is her ability to recognize patterns others overlook. Millennia of experience have given her an almost uncanny talent for predicting outcomes. She studies people, systems, and motivations, then positions events so success becomes the most likely result.
Many assume her greatest gift is strategy.
Those who know her best understand it is persistence.
Like her brother Pietas, Dessy wears authority rather than displays it. She does not cultivate an image of glamour or power. Authority sits on her shoulders as naturally as breathing, and she sees little value in impressing others. To her, beauty is measured by character, competence, and results.
When Pietas walks into a room, people gravitate toward him.
When Dessy walks into a room, people are likely to realize the room, the building, the government, and probably the budget were arranged according to plans she approved six months ago.
One commands loyalty.Β One commands systems.
In their own way, each is terrifying.
Appearance
Most public appearances find her in military dress uniform, a royal red sash across her chest bearing medals earned through her long service. For formal occasions, she favors sleek, tailored gowns accented by minimal jewelry, most often rare blue fire crystals.
Twin to a King
Dessy and Pietas entered the world only minutes apart.
For centuries, their relationship was defined by conflict, betrayal, resentment, and opposing visions of leadership. Where Pietas became a conqueror, Dessy became a builder. Where he sought control through personal authority, she invested in institutions and governance.
Yet beneath every disagreement remained a bond neither could entirely break.Β Their eventual reconciliation during the Bringer of Chaos series reshaped both their lives and the future of the Empire itself.Β Even now, Dessy speaks of her brother as though he were a constant source of irritation.
Those who know her recognize this for what it is. Affection.
Leadership Style
Strategic
Dessy thinks in decades instead of days.
Practical
She values results over appearances.
Protective
She views the Empire as her responsibility and its citizens as people worth safeguarding.
Relentless
Once she commits to a goal, she follows through regardless of personal cost.
Fair
Her decisions may be harsh, but are rarely arbitrary.
The Jades
Among the many stories told about Empress Rheyn Destoiya, none is more widely discussed than the Jades. Often described as the Empress's male harem, the Jades are far more than companions or court favorites. Throughout her reign, Dessy became known for rescuing men from dangerous political situations, abusive circumstances, or certain ruin. Those she chose to keep entered her household under Imperial protection and received education, training, security, and opportunities unavailable elsewhere.
The result was an elite cadre of highly educated, physically capable men who served as ambassadors, escorts, advisors, and defenders of the Crown. They represented every race and culture within the Empire. While many happened to be blond, the only trait they truly shared was exceptional potential.
By the year 4664 TSY, six Jades remained in active service, with three former members having already earned their freedom. Over the course of Dessy's long rule, more than one hundred men would pass through her household.
The Empire's fascination with the Jades has produced endless rumors, but those closest to the Empress understand a simple truth: she does not collect beautiful men. She gives endangered people a future.
The Rule
The Jades are governed by a single, unwavering rule.
The first fight is the last fight.
Jealousy, rivalry, and possessiveness are not tolerated. Every Jade understands that membership in the household is a privilege built on mutual respect and service. Those unable to uphold that standard leave immediately.
Those who depart honorably do not leave empty-handed. Former Jades are granted resources, education, and opportunities that often set them up for life. Many go on to distinguished careers throughout the Empire.
Protection is given freely. Position is earned.
One of the most famous stories concerns three royal brothers whose father lost his throne during a violent coup. The Empress granted them asylum and refused all demands for their extradition. Though many assumed their place in her household was payment for protection, each earned his position independently through service, education, and personal merit. Their story remains one of the Empire's best-known examples of the opportunities available under Imperial protection.
Notable Jades include Rudolf Brakovsky, Sander Vabalas, the Chiasmii ambassador, and for a brief period, Khyff Antonello.
