You'll meet influential people, hear about the most interesting places, and perhaps pick up a tiny bit of Empire history. If at any time, you decide you are no longer interested in pursuing citizenship, you will be escorted to the border and allowed to go on your way.
Should you stay, however, you can expect fair treatment and honorable trade. That does not mean the Empire is without danger. There are shadows here, and you would do well to avoid them. I'll do my best to warn you.
For those who are curious, my name is pronounced reign dess-toy-ya. The public refers to me as Your Majesty.
