Meet the immortal kingβin his own words.
This is one of Kayelle's favorite pictures of me.
My dear Kayelle is under the impression she invented me. Or perhaps that's just what she tells her therapist. Kayelle sees a different world than most.
But she asked so nicely for me to tell people about myself that I decided to comply. "Meeting the Immortal King" she calls this page. I'll do my best.
If you're curious, my first name is pronounced pee-ah-toss. Pietas (the word itself) is one of the seven virtues and denotes devotion to family, especially to fathers. I'm certain when mine named me he hoped for a self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyone who knows my father knows how that turned out.
I recognize that humans like maps and labelsβit makes people easier to hold at armβs length. If it helps you, I wonβt interfere.
For those who like trivia, I was born in Nevern, Wales, on Earth, February 26, 2620Β just over the line for Pisces. I'm a scientist and find astrology entertaining, but put little stock in it. Kayelle says she is a Taurus. She is quite stubborn, a great listener, and one of my favorite words: indefatigable.
Those who insist on sorting people would call me an Enneagram Eightβthe Challenger. Protective. Willful. Difficult to move once decided.
I donβt argue with the assessment. I do argue with the implication that this makes me predictable.
A common question is how my sister compares to me. If youβre determined to quantify her, I suppose sheβll tolerate it on her own page. I won't attempt it in this space. Likewise, Kayelle has her own explanations for how she works. Sheβs expressed them on her About page. Thoroughly. Iβll spare you the details here.
If you must know more, I'm told I lean toward ENTJ on the Myers-Briggs Personality Type. Strategic, logical, efficient, ambitious, but I'm more of an "I" when you get right down to it. E's are extroverts. I'm able to deal with people and crowds, but afterward, I take time alone to recharge. Still, I do love a party and am often the last to leave. But lingering for no reason? Never. Immortality affords many luxuries. Wasting time is not one of them.

Obviously, Kayelle could not get a picture of me. I'm on the other side of the galaxy. So she hired Nik Nitsvetov to cosplay me. I must say, he does a smashing job. We could be twins. A striking image. GermanCreative designed the blue portrait. And the dragon ring I'm wearing? Created in digital form by artist Nano-Core exactly as I described it to Kayelle.
She went to so much trouble to portray me as her immortal king that I feel I owe her the true story about my life. As I reveal things to her, she puts them in books. Not as fast as she would like. But, you see, I'm immortal. As much as it frustrates Kayelle, I don't hurry. I have all the time in the worlds.
The picture of me in black leather is from a life where I earned my keep as a street musician. Some day I'll tell you the full story, but I will tell you this - Cyken stayed nearby and made sure no one harassed me, but he never picked up an instrument except to move it when needed, and in the thousands of years I have known him, I have never once heard him sing. If you want to know why, you'll have to ask him. He's never said more about it than, "I don't sing." Not can't, mind you. Don't. I have no idea why.
Formal Council Uniform
The following pictures are of me when first trying on the formal uniform of the Council. I knew I wanted it double-breasted, with epaulettes or shoulder boards. The style on the left is for the rank of admiral. The center is commandant, and the one on the right denotes captain. My final uniform's shoulder boards actually had a black outline with a solid silver center for the rank of Chancellor.
I wanted a flowing cloak that reached the floor. The designers had a bit of difficulty with length because I'd been measured in stocking feet instead of my boots. They had to redo the cloak twice, which annoyed my tailor no end. I can hear her now, ranting about the cost of materials. She was as picky as I am about getting things right, so if I can find a photo of the final uniform, I'll send it to Kayelleβwell, describe it, actually. There is no FedEx or UPS in my part of the galaxy, and forget sending an email.
Kayelle tells me that Terran cosplayers are notoriously fussy about making costumes accurate. They don't take kindly to being told, "It's a little longer, actually..." or "is that the only blue you had available?" Kayelle thinks I should be happy with the way it turned out, and believe me, I truly am. But the blue in my uniform is darker and when you get right down to it, more like cyan. I can hear Cyken now. "Are you ever happy with good enough, Pietas?" Well, actually... (smiles)
