Felidae is inhabited by the Kin, a species distinguished by feline physical traits and a strictly hierarchical, matriarchal social structure. The Ruh clan retains prominence following a recent internal disruption. Former leadership has been removed from authority. Enforcement of clan law resulted in the permanent banishment of a designated successor following violation of prohibitions against harm to an elder. Interim leadership of the Ruh clan has been assumed. The appointment remains unpublicized.

Male Kin occupy a subordinate legal and social status. Movement in public spaces is restricted. Males are not permitted to appear unaccompanied and must remain under the immediate control of a female guardian. Noncompliance is subject to arrest.

Mortuary practices differ from Imperial norms. Deceased Kin are not buried. Bodies are ritually offered to avian scavengers referred to as Mortay Wahn (“dead mouth”). The practice is culturally sanctioned and integrated into ecological cycles.

Dietary customs prioritize meat consumption. Warriors routinely consume meat raw or minimally prepared. Food preparation reflects status, role, and environmental availability rather than individual preference.

Technological development is limited. Ground transport relies primarily on animal-drawn conveyances. Hover vehicles and public transit systems exist but are sparse. Urban construction is low-rise; no structures exceed six levels. In Ruh City, street congestion is persistent.

Inter-clan relations remain volatile. Negotiations with the Tarthian Empire are ongoing and unresolved. Diplomatic representation is maintained through appointed envoys whose authority reflects the planet’s contested position between internal autonomy and external alignment. Felidae operates under its own customs, enforcement mechanisms, and cultural assumptions. Imperial standards are not universally applied.

Local authority supersedes Imperial convention.
