Charon's Blade

The weapon's name comes from the Terran mythological Charon, god of the Underworld who ferried the dead to their final resting place. Charon's Blade rests uneasily in the hand of its wielder, a fusion of elegance and lethal intent. Users must wear protective gear since the blade can kill or maim its master.

Forged in the fires of conflict, its darkened steel conceals a treacherous mechanism designed for ruthless efficiency. A hidden, poison-filled core occupies this heavy dagger, crafted for hand-to-hand combat. Upon stabbing, the dagger transforms from a mere weapon to an instrument of demise, delivering venom that kills humans on contact.

However, Ultras are rendered unconscious only the first time it's used. Pietas, leader of the Ultras, used this perilous edge to his own advantage. He compelled his elite corps to inject themselves with the poison, rendering it useless. This move highlights the lengths to which he will go in the fight for supremacy.

In this universe, power is forged in sacrifice, and every weapon holds an unforgiving secret. In a war where survival hinges on understanding one's enemies, Charon's Blade emerges as a lethal tool of power and deception.

I really like how you came up with the blade. Very well done. And so creative.

My designer once said he wouldn’t want me to be mad at him because I thought up so many interesting ways to kill someone. lol

I love the legend you created for this weapon and how it affects different species differently. Very creative.

I believe unless you have a box to start with, you can’t think outside it. Using what a device like this usually does, how can you make it more dangerous?

    Hi,
The leader of the Ultras is wise. That he injects poison slowly into warriors’ veins could keep them immune to any hit and keep them from dying. Your description is really good. It builds the expectation.
    Excellent writing.
